All WHIT benefit plans include a January 1st anniversary, on which date rate adjustments are effective. New coverage is available throughout the calendar year but premium rates may be guaranteed for less than 12 months.

Some of WHIT's coverages include published rates shown on this website - Maxor Pharmacy Benefit Management Solutions (PBM), Delta Dental of Washingtion (Delta Dental), Willamette Dental and Vision Service Plan (Superior Vision). Other benefits are available following a request for proposal.

WHIT is an employee welfare benefit plan and is also considered a multiple employee welfare arrangement (MEWA) under ERISA. WHIT serves hospitals and other health care related entities across the United States Pacific Northwest.

WHIT was established to provide unique and cost effective employee benefit plans to its members. This continues to be the criteria we use when evaluating new products and/or carriers. The products in WHIT must provide something the hospitals and healthcare related groups cannot obtain on their own.

Public and private hospitals located in the Pacific Northwest are eligible for participation in the Trust, as well as other employers in the health care industry with a minimum of ten employees.
